Decoration Guidelines
- Heavy large urns planted with annual flowers may be placed on the grave beside the monument. Please do not dig a hole to place the urn. It should be placed on the ground beside the monument. Concrete is the recommended material, but any heavy earn that is not glass or ceramic and can withstand the weed eater line may be used. Urns should not be placed in the mowing lanes. They will be removed. When Fall cleanup is done any concrete urns left on graves will be emptied and turned upside down to help prevent freezing and breakage. The cemetery is not responsible for the watering and care of the urns. We offer this service for a fee. See the office for details.
- Monument saddle – can change decoration throughout the season. Will not be removed from the top of the stone.
- Shepherd’s hook – can keep a live hanging basket throughout the season. Should be placed beside the monument and not in the mowing lanes. The cemetery is not responsible for the watering and care of the basket.
- In ground vase – excellent for cut live or artificial flowers year round. Arrangements not placed in the vase that are left on the ground or stuck in the ground on a spike or wire will be removed during the mowing season.
- NO PLANTING OR DIGGING ON THE GRAVES IS PERMITTED. If you wish to plant a tree or a bush , please contact the office for direction on how this is to be done. The Superintendent will advise if there is room and will take care of the planting, if permitted.
- GLASS AND CERAMIC OF ANY KIND ARE PROHIBITED DUE TO THE DANGER OF BREAKAGE. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR EMPLOYEES AND THE PUBLIC. ANY GLASS OR CERAMIC FOUND IN THE CEMETERY WILL BE REMOVED.
- Please do not use wire to anchor arrangements. Gravel, stones or mulch are not to be placed on the graves or around the monuments. Tis is a hazard for our employees and the public.
